In 2009, during the Commission on Sustainable Development Partnerships Fair, several Mountain Partnership members presented their work on high-quality products, including the work of the Mountain Institute on medicinal and aromatic plants in eastern Nepal, its support to Nixi Tibetan potters in China, Practical Action's help to farmers in Nepal and Peru to improve dairy value chains for milk and cheese production using an innovative participatory market mapping approach, and the work of the Dean's Beans Organic Coffee Company with Ethiopian coffee farmers to ensure high-quality production that is sold at fair trade prices.
