I especially appreciate the comprehensive framework for action that the Task Force has just issued, for it has succeeded to a certain extent in its aim of providing a range of options from which choices can be made by Governments and institutions, as well as guidance and impetus to the many actors to address immediate needs, build resilience and contribute to long-term food security, as clearly stated by Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon in the cover letter of the document.
وأعرب عن تقديري بصفة خاصة لإطار العمل الشامل الذي أصدرته فرقة العمل من فورها، لأنه نجح إلى حد معين في هدفه المتمثل في إتاحة مجموعة متنوعة من الخيارات، يمكن أن تنتقي من بينها الحكومات والمؤسسات، فضلا عن تقديم المشورة والحافز لكثير من الجهات الفاعلة لمواجهة الاحتياجات الفورية، وبناء القدرة على المواجهة، والمساهمة في الأمن الغذائي على الأجل الطويل، على النحو الذي أوضحه الأمين العام في رسالة إحالته للوثيقة.
