The widely held view was that many candidates were disqualified because they were viewed as reformists, including all 12 members of the Freedom Party, an unregistered but tolerated political grouping that has been trying for years without success to be accepted as a recognized player in the political process.
والرأي السائد هو أن استبعاد كثير من المرشحين يرجع إلى أفكارهم الإصلاحية ومن بينهم جميع أعضاء حزب الحرية البالغ عددهم 12 عضوا، وهو تجمع مجاز سياسيا رغم أنه غير مسجل، ويسعى منذ عدة سنوات دون نجاح ليكون مقبولا كجهة فاعلة معترف بها في العملية السياسية.
