Through its policy and the laws in force in its territory, the State is endeavouring to ensure that precedence is accorded to the interests of the child so that he or she can develop into an upright member of a healthy society. Every Syrian family attaches central and fundamental importance to the welfare and protection of its children and the State is making considerable efforts to ensure effective protection of the health and educational aspects of child welfare, particularly through the legal protection afforded by the Civil Code and the Personal Status Act.
إن الدولة من خلال سياستها والقوانين النافذة تحرص على جعل مصلحة الطفل في المقدمة الأولى لبناء الإنسان والمجتمع السليم، حيث تشكل رعاية الطفولة محوراً هاماً وجوهرياً في حياة الأسرة السورية، وتبذل الدولة جهوداً كبيرة لتحقيق حماية فعالة للطفل سواء من الناحية الصحية أو التعليمية ولعل أبرزها الحماية القانونية التي تتجلى في القانون المدني وفي قانون الأحوال الشخصية
