At the current stage the module was designed to comprise three elements: a general part covering general principles of emergency preparedness and response; specific sections dealing with the management of communicable diseases, chemical and nuclear incidents, structural collapse, transport accidents, outbreaks of fires, explosions and the direct use of violence; and a third component dealing with the specifics of intentional and terrorist events, with special attention to issues of risk perception and risk communication.
