According to the report of the Secretary-General (A/63/72-E/2008/48), the digital divide had moved from inequalities in basic quantity and access to include differences in quality and capacity, since the cost of broadband connection was inversely proportionate to the level of development.
وأضاف أنه وفقا لتقرير الأمين العام (A/63/72-E/2008/48) انتقلت الفجوة الرقمية من أوجه اللامساواة من حيث الكمية الأساسية والنفاذ لتشمل اختلافات في النوعية والقدرة، حيث أن تكلفة الوصل بالإنترنت العريضة النطاق يتناسب عكسيا مع مستوى التنمية.
