Iraq further states that “the dry hot climate affects the development of the soil, which is immature, primitive desert soil; characterized by shallow depth, light texture, and negligible content of organic substances”, and that it is located in one of the major sand and dust storms regions of the world.
ويضيف العراق أن "المناخ الحار والجاف يضر بنمو التربة، التي تعد تربة صحراوية بدائية أولية فجة؛ تتسم بضحالة عمقها، وهي تربة خفيفة القوام ولا تحتوي على مواد عضوية تستحق الذكر"، وتقع هذه الصحراء في منطقة من أهم المناطق التي تتعرض للعواصف الرملية وعواصف الغبار في العالم.
