It is hoped that through, inter alia, the deliberations in the General Assembly on matters related to oceans and the law of the sea, as well as sustainable fisheries, developing States would provide further feedback from various national ministries and agencies in the implementation, in relation to their national experience with regard to measures in the key areas of sustainable development of marine resources, for example, fisheries, offshore oil and gas, marine minerals, ports and harbours, ocean transportation and coastal recreation, among others, as well as relevant feedback emanating from civil society, including private enterprise, academia and research organizations.
ويؤمل، أن تقدّم الدول النامية، بطرق منها مداولات الجمعية العامة بشأن المسائل المتعلقة بالمحيطات وقانون البحار، وكذلك بشأن مصائد الأسماك المستدامة، المزيد من الآراء الواردة من مختلف الوزارات والوكالات الوطنية المشاركة في التنفيذ، بشأن تجربتها الوطنية فيما يتصل بالتدابير المتخذة في المجالات الرئيسية للتنمية المستدامة للموارد البحرية، مثل مصائد الأسماك، واستخراج النفط والغاز من عرض البحر، والمعادن البحرية، والموانئ والمرافئ، والنقل عبر المحيطات، وأنشطة الترفيه الساحلية، من بين أمور أخرى، فضلا عن الآراء ذات الصلة المنبثقة عن المجتمع المدني، بما في ذلك الشركات الخاصة، والأوساط الأكاديمية ومنظمات البحوث.
