The project consultant further advised the incorporation of several critical requirements that had not initially been anticipated, including future high definition video compatibility; repositionable interpretation booths in rooms 3 and 4; modified design for air-conditioning in line with environmental initiatives adopted by the United Nations to provide for forced-air ventilation and/or evaporative cooling; full integration of the conference rooms; additional electrical infrastructure; and a broadcast link to the press centre to provide coverage of proceedings.
