However, the Committee notes that the Supreme Court conducted a review of the decision handed down by the Provincial High Court, a review which focused essentially on issues of fact and evidence. It notes that, as the State party indicates, the Court even accepted the argument based on the error of fact in the valuation of the drugs, correcting the valuation and substantially reducing the fine imposed at first instance.
