• The Information and Communications Technology Section of the Department for General Assembly and Conference Management developed in-house technical solutions for presenting meeting data on electronic panels/displays. As a result of the partnership between the Department for General Assembly and Conference Management and the Department of Public Information, idle time during the door displays have been utilized for showing photos and movies about United Nations activities from the digital library of the latter Department.

• They distributed and presented papers, literature on sanitization technologies and participated in the exhibition through displaying different panels and models related to sanitization: (a) Paper on “City Slums Upgradation with Special Reference to Some Aspects of Slum Upgradation in Delhi and the Role of Sulabh”, at the World Urban Forum, held at Barcelona, Spain, from 13-17 September 2004; (b) Paper on “Toilet - A Tool of Social Change” at the World Toilet Summit, Beijing, China, held from 17-19 November 2004; (c) Paper on `Toilets for All-Meeting the Millennium Development Goal on Sanitation' at World Toilet Summit - 2005, organized by British Toilet Association at Belfast, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland held from 26-29 September 2005; (d) Participated and presented a paper on Sustainable Sanitation Technologies in the South Asian Conference on Sanitation (SACOSAN-II), Islamabad, Pakistan held from 20-21 September 2006; (e) Organized World Toilet Summit - 2007, New Delhi, during 31 October - 3 November 2007.
  كما وزعوا وعرضوا ورقات ومؤلفات بشأن تكنولوجيات التصحاح وشاركوا في معرض من خلال عرض لوحات ونماذج مختلفة تتصل بتوفير المرافق الصحية: (أ) ورقة موضوعها ”تحسين الحياة في الأحياء الفقيرة في المدن مع الإشارة بوجه خاص إلى بعض جوانب تحسين الحياة في الأحياء الفقيرة في دلهي ودور منظمة سولابه الدولية“، في المنتدى الحضري العالمي، الذي عُقد في برشلونة، بإسبانيا، في الفترة من 13 حتى 17 أيلول/سبتمبر 2004؛ (ب) ورقة موضوعها ”المرحاض - وسيلة للتغيير الاجتماعي“، وذلك في مؤتمر القمة العالمي للمراحيض الذي عُقد في بيجين، بالصين، في الفترة من 17 إلى 19 تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر 2004؛ (ج) ورقة موضوعها ”توفير المراحيض للجميع - بلوغ الهدف المتعلق بالتصحاح من الأهداف الإنمائية للألفية“، وذلك في مؤتمر القمة العالمي للمراحيض - 2005، الذي نظمته الرابطة البريطانية للمراحيض في بلفاست، بالمملكة المتحدة لبريطانيا العظمى وأيرلندا الشمالية، والذي عُقد في الفترة من 26 إلى 29 أيلول/سبتمبر 2005؛ (د) شاركوا وعرضوا ورقة بشأن تكنولوجيات التصحاح المستدام في مؤتمر جنوب آسيا المعني بالمرافق الصحية (SACOSAN-11)، إسلام أباد، باكستان، الذي عُقد يومي 20 و 21 أيلول/سبتمبر 2006؛ (هـ) نظموا مؤتمر القمة العالمي للمراحيض، 2007، في نيودلهي، الذي انعقد خلال الفترة من 31 تشرين الأول/أكتوبر إلى 3 تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر 2007.
