Various aspects of globalization and their implications for the future shape of society are examined: (a) migration and travel; (b) the global reach of knowledge, technology, information, communications, mass media, and mass culture; (c) the transborder transmission and diffusion of ideas, values, norms and standards relating to both the public and the private domains; (d) the growing interdependence of the global economy by the enhanced movement of goods, services, capital, finance, expertise and labour; (e) the convergence of views on economic management, regulation and public-private relations; (f) economic groupings; (g) transnational corporations and concepts of corporate governance; and (h) transnational mechanisms of economic surveillance and management.
ويجري بحث شتى جوانب العولمة وآثارها علـــــى شكل المجتمـــــع في المستقبل: (أ) الهجرة والسفر؛ (ب) النطاق العالمي للمعرفة، والتكنولوجيا، والمعلومات، والاتصالات، ووسائل الإعلام الجماهيري، والثقافة الجماهيرية؛ (ج) نقل ونشر الأفكار، والقيم، والقواعد، والمعايير ذات الصلة بالقطاعين العام والخاص على حد سواء، عبر الحدود؛ (د) استمرار زيادة ترابط الاقتصاد العالمي بسبب تعزيز نقل السلع، والخدمات، ورأس المال، والتمويل، والخبرات والعمالة؛ (هـ) تلاقي الآراء بشأن إدارة الاقتصاد، والتشريعات، والعلاقات العامة - الخاصة؛ والتجمعات الاقتصادية؛ (ز) الشركات عبر الوطنية، ومفاهيم إدارة الشركات، والآليات عبر الوطنية للرصد الاقتصادي وإدارة الاقتصاد.
