• I have the honour to transmit herewith the text of the Baku Declaration on Energy Efficiency and Sustainable Development in the Caspian Sea region and Other Oil Producing and Exporting Countries, which was adopted at the Baku Symposium on Energy Efficiency and Sustainable Development, held in Baku from 28 to 30 March 2006 (see annex).
  أتشرف بأن أحيل إليكم طيه نصّ إعلان باكو بشأن كفاءة استخدام الطاقة والتنمية المستدامة في منطقة بحر قزوين وسائر البلدان المنتجة والمصدّرة للنفط، الذي تم اعتماده في ندوة باكو بشأن كفاءة استخدام الطاقة والتنمية المستدامة، المعقودة في باكو، في الفترة من 28 إلى 30 آذار/مارس 2006 (انظر المرفق).
• In that context, the Ministers welcomed the contributions of the Organization of the Islamic Conference, as reflected in the Baku Declaration on Energy Efficiency and Sustainable Development in the Caspian Sea Region and Other Oil Producing and Exporting Countries and the relevant resolutions, and of the League of Arab States.

• Whether countries advance on the path of global economic integration and/or if they adopt an ambitious social agenda, which should be aligned with the United Nations Millennium Declaration goals, effective and efficient financial management is a must, especially in countries where the volume of tax revenue is fixed.
