The purpose of the Plant was to convert more than 70,000 tons of scrap brass, predominantly shell casings, into copper and copper-based alloy, for production into commercial brass by the existing Al-Shaheed Factory, immediately adjacent to the Plant.
وتمثل الغرض من هذا المعمل في تحويل أكثر من 000 70 طن من خردة النحاس الأصفر وغالبيتها من أغلفة القنابل الفارغة، إلى قطع نحاس وسبائك نحاسية ليستخدمها مصنع الشهيد المجاور تماماً للمعمل في إنتاجه من المصنوعات النحاسية التجارية.
