Construction contractors will be required to obtain and provide performance, payment, labour and materials bonds.

The issue of performance bond, and labour and material bond was the subject of protracted negotiations between the Secretariat and the contractor, who had claimed that it was unable to secure a performance bond in the form required by the United Nations.

(l) Any requirements of the procuring entity with respect to the issuer and the nature, form, amount and other principal terms and conditions of any tender security to be provided by suppliers or contractors submitting tenders in accordance with article 14, and any such requirements for any security for the performance of the procurement contract to be provided by the supplier or contractor that enters into the procurement contract, including securities such as labour and materials bonds;
(ل) أي اشتراطات للجهة المشترية بشأن الجهة التي تصدر أي ضمانة عطاء يتعين على المورّدين أو المقاولين مقدّمي العطاء توفيرها وفقا للمادة 14 وأي اشتراطات من هذا القبيل بتوفير ما قد يتعين على المورّد أو المقاول الذي يبرم عقد الاشتراء توفيره من ضمانة لتنفيذ ذلك العقد، بما في ذلك ضمانات مثل سندات الكفالة المتعلقة بالأيدي العاملة والمعدات؛
