In reference to your letter dated 23 February 2006 concerning assistance provided by the Kingdom to the Government of Somalia, I wish to inform you that the assistance in question consisted of medical equipment, medicines and anti-gas protective clothing.
بالإشارة إلى رسالتكم المؤرخة 23 شباط/فبراير 2006 بشأن المساعدة المقدمة من المملكة إلى حكومة الصومال، أرجو إبلاغكم بأن المساعدة المذكورة كانت مؤلفة من معدات طبية وأردية وأردية واقية من الغازات.

The Government of Saudi Arabia replied to a letter from the Monitoring Group detailing that shipment in a letter dated 27 March 2006. It confirmed the shipment, but stated that the assistance in question consisted of medical equipment, medicines and “anti-gas protective clothing” (see annex V).
وفي رسالة مؤرخة 27 آذار/مارس 2006، ردّت حكومة المملكة العربية السعودية على رسالة وجهها إليها فريق الرصد وضمنتها تفاصيل الشحنة المذكورة أعلاه، مؤكدة حقيقة الشحنة لكنها ذكرت أن المساعدة المذكورة كانت عبارة عن معدات طبية وأدوية واردية ”واقية من الغاز“ (انظر المرفق الخامس).

The described techniques for destruction of small arms and light weapons require the following equipment: (a) a 20-ton crane for unloading the items from the railway platforms; (b) a 10-ton workshop crane for sorting out the aggregates and parts subject to cutting; (c) technological equipment set for the plastic deformation of aggregates and parts; (d) hydraulic presses for the plastic deformation of parts, elements and aggregates of the small arms and the artillery pieces; (e) a mechanic's worktable for dismantling small arms; (f) technological equipment for dismantling elements and aggregates of the artillery pieces; (g) warehouses for storing the liquid of the anti-recoil mechanisms; (h) gas-plasma equipment for cutting; and (i) manual and stationary saws for the cutting of medium and large parts, elements and aggregates.
وتتطلب الأساليب الموصوفة أعلاه لتدمير الأسلحة الصغيرة والأسلحة الخفيفة توافر المعدات التالية: (أ) رافعة حمولتها 20 طنا لتفريغ الأصناف من أرصفة السكة الحديدية؛ و (ب) رافعــــــة بالورشة حمولتها 10 أطنان لتصنيف المكونات والأجزاء المقرر قطعها؛ و (ج) معدات تكنولوجية مجهزة للتشويه اللدن للمكونات والأجزاء؛ و (د) مكابس هيدروليـــة للتشويه اللدن لأجزاء وعناصر ومكونات الأسلحة الصغيرة وقطع المدفعية؛ و (هـ) منضدة عمل لتفكيك الأسلحة الصغيرة؛ و (و) معدات تكنولوجية لتفكيك عناصر ومكونات قطع المدفعية؛ و (ز) مستودعات لتخزين سوائل آليات عدم الارتداد؛ و (ح) معدات غاز - بلازما للقطع؛ و (ط) مناشير يدوية وثابتة لقطع الأجزاء والعناصر والمكونات الكبيرة والمتوسطة الحجم.
