Regional cooperation was encouraged also with respect to small cetaceans and sirenians of Central and West Africa, in particular through the establishment of memoranda of understanding on those species and the implementation of collaborative action thereon (recommendation 7.3), and on small cetaceans and dugongs of South-East Asia (recommendation 7.4).
