“8. The States bind themselves not to support separatist movements and separatist regimes in the territory of other States members if they arise; not to establish political, economic and other relations with them; not to allow them to use the territory and communications of other States members of the Commonwealth; and not to offer them economic, financial, military or other assistance.”
تلتزم الدول بعدم دعم الحركات الانفصالية في أراضي الدول الأخرى الأعضاء في الرابطة، وكذلك بعدم دعم الأنظمة الانفصالية، حال قيامها، وبعدم إقامة روابط سياسية واقتصادية أو أية روابط أخرى معها؛ وبعدم السماح لها باستخدام أراضي أو وسائل اتصال الدول أعضاء الرابطة؛ وبعدم تقديم المساعدة الاقتصادية أو المالية أو العسكرية أو أية مساعدات أخرى إليها“.
