Since these consequences are not related to the original ISO proposal which concerned the cooperage test only, the secretariat consulted the Chairman and Vice-Chairman of the Committee and it has been agreed that, for the time being, only the cooperage test (6.1.5.7) should be deleted from the Model Regulations.
وبالنظر إلى أن هذه التعديلات التبعية لا تتصل بالاقتراح الأصلي للمنظمة الدولية للتوحيد القياسي الذي يتعلق باختبار البراميل فقط، فقد استشارت الأمانة رئيس ونائب رئيس اللجنة وتم الاتفاق على أنه ينبغي في الوقت الحاضر ألا يُحذف من اللوائح النموذجية إلا الفقرة المتعلقة باختبار البراميل (6-1-5-7).

Amendments to Chapter 6.1 concerning wooden barrels were adopted by the Committee on the basis of a proposal by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) in ST/SG/AC.10/C.3/2001/24 that 6.1.5.7 should be deleted on the grounds that no testing body had ever carried out the cooperage test. Consequently ISO proposed to delete also 6.1.4.6 and to amend special provision 247 and PP2 in packing instruction P001.
اعتمدت اللجنة التعديلات المتعلقة بالفصل 6-1 بشأن البراميل المصنوعة من الخشب وذلك على أساس اقتراح من المنظمة الدولية للتوحيد القياسي يرد في ST/SG/AC.10/C.3/2001/24 ومفاده أن 6-1-5-7 ينبغي أن تُحذف لأنه ما من هيئة اختبار قد أجرت قط أي اختبار للبراميل وبالتالي فقد اقترحت المنظمة الدولية للتوحيد القياسي أن يتم أيضاً حذف 6-1-4-6 وتعديل الحكم الخاص 247 والبند PP2 في توجيه التعبئة P001.

In addition, the Assembly reaffirmed that the United Nations visiting missions to the Territories were an effective means of ascertaining the situation in the Territories as well as the wishes and aspirations of their inhabitants, and called upon the administering Powers to continue to cooperage with the Special Committee in the discharge of its mandate and to facilitate United Nations visiting missions to the Territories, and also called upon the administering Powers that had not participated formally in the work of the Special Committee to do so at its session in 2000.
وفضلا عن ذلك، أكدت الجمعية من جديد أن بعثات الأمم المتحدة الزائرة التي توفد إلى الأقاليم هي وسيلة فعالة لتقييم الوضع في الأقاليم، فضلا عن التعرف على رغبات وطموحات سكانها، وأهابت بالدول القائمة بالإدارة أن تواصل تعاونها مع اللجنة الخاصة في الاضطلاع بولايتها وتيسير بعثات الأمم المتحدة الزائرة التي توفد إلى الأقاليم، كما أهابت بالدول القائمة بالإدارة التي لم تشترك بصفة رسمية في أعمال اللجنة الخاصة أن تفعل ذلك في دورة اللجنة لعام 2000.
