(a) Forecasting, detection and monitoring of hazardous phenomena in the atmosphere and at sea, such as hurricanes, storms, typhoons and ice formations using data from Meteor-3M and Elektro-L obtained in various regions of the optical and radio (ultra-high frequency) bandwidths of the electromagnetic wave spectrum;
(أ) التنبؤ بالظواهر الخطرة وكشفها ورصدها في الجو وفي البحر، كالأعاصير والعواصف وأعاصير التيفون والتكوينات الجليدية، باستخدام بيانات من الساتلين “Meteor-3M”و Elktro-L مأخوذة في مجالات مختلفة من عرضي النطاق البصري والراديوي (لترددات فوق العالية) لطيف الموجات الكهرومغنطيسية؛

Note In 6.A.6.g. those compensators which provide only absolute values of the earth's magnetic field as output (i.e., the frequency bandwidth of the output extends from DC to at least 0.8 Hz) are not included in this Annex.

(c) The Satellite Engineering Support Unit, which is responsible for the continuity of the management services associated with the 155 Department of Field Support satellite links that terminate at the Base, including frequency management and bandwidth allocation for all transponder space managed by the Department of Field Support.
(ج) وحدة دعم الهندسة الساتلية، المسؤولة عن استمرارية الخدمات الإدارية المرتبطة بالوصلات الساتلية الـ 155 لإدارة الدعم الميداني، الموجودة محطاتُها الطرفية في القاعدة، بما في ذلك إدارة الترددات وتخصيص عرض النطاق الترددي لمجمل الحيز المرسِل المجيب الذي تديره الإدارة.

The incumbent of the post would be responsible for: the operations and monitoring of the satellite communications network of the Department of Field Support to ensure the availability and continuity of management services associated with the 155 satellite links that terminate at the Base; frequency management and bandwidth allocation for all transponder space managed by the Department of Field Support; coordination of field mission implementation activities with mission engineers in addition to establishing operational policies and standards; identifying the need for new systems or modifications to existing systems in response to the needs and requests of Department of Peacekeeping Operations missions; and the provision of expert advice to the Chief of the Operations Section on the management, operation and maintenance of the satellite network.
وسيكون شاغل هذه الوظيفة مسؤولا عن: عمليات شبكة الاتصالات الساتلية التابعة لإدارة الدعم الميداني ورصدها، لضمان توافر واستمرارية الخدمات الإدارية المرتبطة بـ 155 وصلة ساتلية للإدارة موجودة محطاتها الطرفية في القاعدة؛ إدارة الترددات وتخصيص عرض النطاق الترددي لكامل الحيز المرسِل المجيب الذي تشرف عليه الإدارة؛ وتنسيق أنشطة التنفيذ المضطلَع بها في البعثات الميدانية مع مهندسي البعثة بالإضافة إلى وضع السياسات والمعايير التشغيلية؛ وتحديد الحاجة إلى نظم جديدة أو إلى إدخال تعديلات على النظم القائمة بما يلبي احتياجات وطلبات بعثات إدارة عمليات حفظ السلام؛ وإسداء مشورة خبراء إلى رئيس قسم العمليات بشأن إدارة وتشغيل وصيانة شبكة السواتل.
