According to information from Japan, PFOS is used in an etching process of the piezoelectric ceramic filter which is used as a bandpass filter at intermediate frequency in two-way radios for police radio, FM radios, TV, Remote Keyless Entry for Cars, etc. Annual PFOS usage is about 20 kg.
