• The holy Al-Aqsa intifada has entered its third month and Israel continues to perpetrate crimes of genocide and armed aggression, to destroy houses, property and the infrastructure of Palestinian economic and social institutions and to pursue such measures as illegal imprisonment, coercive detention, laying siege, preventing communications between towns and cities and totally isolating the occupied Palestinian territory from the outside world. It is also preventing the delivery of food and necessary medical supplies to the Palestinian people, flouting international humanitarian norms and principles.
  لقد دخلت انتفاضة الأقصى المقدسة شهرها الثالث. وما زالت إسرائيل ترتكب جرائم الإبادة الجماعية والعدوان المسلح، وهدم المنازل وتدمير الممتلكات والبنى التحتية للمؤسسات الاقتصادية والاجتماعية الفلسطينية، فضلا عن تدابير الاعتقال والاحتجاز التعسفي، وفرض الحصار ومنع التواصل بين القرى والمدن، وأيضا عزل كامل هذه المناطق الفلسطينية المحتلة عن العالم الخارجي، ومنع وصول المواد الغذائية والطبية الضرورية إلى الشعب الفلسطيني، متجاهلة القوانين والأعراف الإنسانية الدولية.
• The United Arab Emirates strongly condemns Israel's continued occupation of the Lebanese Shab'a farms and the Syrian Golan Heights, and its policies in the Golan, which include the seizure of more than 96 per cent of lands, the destruction of all facets of life, the expansion of settlement activities, the planting of mines, the destruction of the environment, the laying of continuous siege to the Syrians, the imposition of exorbitant taxes, coercive detentions and arrests, the denial of medical and educational services, and the distortion of educational curricula relating to the geography and history of the Golan.
  إن دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة تدين بقوة استمرار الاحتلال الإسرائيلي لمرتفعات الجولان السورية ومنطقة شبعا اللبنانية، بما في ذلك استيلاؤها على ما يزيد على 96 في المائة من أراضي الجولان السوري، وممارستها لسياسة تقطيع أوصال المزيد من هذه الأراضي، ولجوؤها إلى هدم جميع مظاهر عمرانها، وتوسيع أنشطتها الاستيطانية وزرع الألغام بها، وتخريب بيئتها الطبيعية، وفرض تدابير الحصار المتواصل على سكانها العرب السوريين، وفرض ضرائب باهظة عليهم، واعتقالهم واحتجازهم بشكل تعسفي، وحرمانهم من الخدمات الصحية والتعليمية، وفرض المقررات الدراسية المشوّهة للحقائق التاريخية والجغرافية على أبناء الجولان السوري.

  وفي ما يتعلق بشهادة ضحايا الاعتداء الجنسي، تبين القاعدة 96 من القواعد الإجرائية للمحكمة الجنائية الدولية ليوغوسلافيا السابقة أنه لا حاجة إلى التحقق من هذه الشهادة وأن موافقة الضحية لا يجوز أن تستخدم كوسيلة دفاع في حالة إخضاع الضحية لظروف تعتبر في حد ذاتها قسرية للاحتجاز، وأن الأدلة التي تتعلق بسلوك الضحية الماضي غير مقبولة.
