In that connection, the Government had made significant progress in reducing poverty among older persons. It was aware, for instance, that women who had not worked outside the home did not have access to contributory plans.

Staff members who, upon retirement, have participated in a United Nations contributory plan for at least 5 years are also eligible, provided that they pay the full premium for the period for which their participation falls short of the 10-year requirement for subsidized participation.
كما تحق التغطية للموظفين الذين كانوا عند تقاعدهم قد اشتركوا لمدة خمس سنوات على الأقل في خطة إسهامية للأمم المتحدة، بشرط أن يسددوا كامل الأقساط عن الفارق بين مدة اشتراكهم والمدة اللازمة للاشتراك المعان وهي 10 سنوات.

Staff members recruited prior to 1 July 2007 who have participated in a United Nations contributory plan for at least five years are also eligible, provided that they pay the full premium for the period for which their participation falls short of the 10-year requirement for cost-shared participation.
كما تحق التغطية للموظفين المُعيّنين قبل 1 تموز/يوليه 2007 الذين كانوا قد اشتركوا لمدة لا تقل عن خمس سنوات في خطة من خطط الأمم المتحدة القائـمة على الاشتراكات، بشـرط أن يسددوا الأقساط الكاملة عن الفارق بين مدة اشتراكهم والمدة اللازمة للاشتراك على أساس تقاسم التكاليف وهي 10 سنوات.

(g) “Contributory service under the Plan” means contributory service as defined in article 16 of the Regulations of the Plan, and includes all periods of service used to compute benefits under the Plan;
