The “MONEE” project of the International Child Development Centre, which monitors the transition in social conditions and public policy in Central and Eastern Europe, is preparing its eighth regional monitoring report.

The “TransMONEE” project, which monitors social conditions in economies in transition and is based at the International Child Development Centre, is a further example of disaggregated data analysis at the regional level.
ومشروع رصد عملية الانتقـــال في أوروبا الوسطـى والشرقيـة "TransMONEE " الذي يرصد الأوضاع الاجتماعية في الاقتصادات التي تمر بمرحلة انتقالية والذي يقع مقره في المركز الدولي لتنمية الطفل، هو مثال آخر على تحليل البيانات المفصلة على المستوى الإقليمي.

It should be noted that end-of-decade reviews in this region will benefit from previous reports of the UNICEF International Child Development Centre in Florence regarding policies on children.

The two institutions have worked in partnership on a number of initiatives over the years, including the creation of the Innocenti Library on children's rights, the first international child rights resource centre in Italy, which opened in July 2001.

The Committee was invited by the Italian authorities, with the support of the Italian National Committee for UNICEF, to visit Florence from 29 May to 1 June 1998, during which they met with local, regional and national authorities, including Mrs. Livia Turco, Minister for Social Solidarity. A working meeting with the UNICEF International Child Development Centre (ICDC) was organized on 30 May 1998 at which were discussed suggestions on ways to improve cooperation between the Centre and the Committee. On 30 June, the Committee was invited by the Sienna regional branch of the National Committee for UNICEF to visit care institutions, including a support and rehabilitation centre for children in difficult circumstances.
وتوصي اللجنة الدولة الطرف بأن توفر تدريباً إضافياً، بما في ذلك التدريب في مجال حقوق الطفل الذي يخضع له المرشدون الاجتماعيون والمكلفون بالسهر على الرفاه وكفالة الاستعراض الدولي لعملية الايداع في المؤسسات وإنشاء آلية مستقلة لتقديم الشكاوى خاصة بالأطفال في مؤسسات الرعاية البديلة.
