By article 13 of the Family Law, a marriage that is not based on the free consent of the parties, a marriage under the minimum age for marriage (18 years for males and 17 years for females) a marriage with a person who already has a registered husband or wife and a marriage between blood relatives up to and including third cousins, or between relatives by marriage up to and including first cousins is null and void.
بموجب المادة 13 من قانون الأسرة فإن الزواج الذي لا يكون قائما على الرضا الحر للطرفين والزواج دون الحد الأدنى لسن الزواج (18 سنة للذكور و17 سنة للإناث) وزواج شخص سبق تسجيل اسمه بصفته زوجا أو زوجة والزواج بين الأقارب الذين بينهم صلة دم إلى غاية أبناء أو بنات العم أو العمة أو الخال أو الخالة حتى الدرجة الثالثة وبين الأقارب الذين بينهم صلة نسب إلى غاية أبناء أو بنات العم أو العمة أو الخال أو الخالة إلى غاية الدرجة الأولى باطل وعديم الأثر.

وفي الحالات التي لا يسجل فيها الزواج، تكون الحياة الزوجية محرمة". وبمقتضى المادة 13 من قانون الأسرة، يكون الزواج باطلاً ولاغياً إذا عقد بالإكراه ولم يقم على أساس الرضا الحر للطرفين أو عقد قبل بلوغ السن الأدنى للزواج أو إذا تضمن شخصاً لـه زوج مسجل أو إذا كان الزواج بين الأقرباء الذين تربطهم صلة الدم حتى أولاد وبنات العم أو الخال من الدرجة الثالثة أو بين الأقرباء بالزواج حتى أولاد وبنات العم أو الخال من الدرجة الأولى.
