• To save time, I will not go into the details of those projects, but will mention only the inclusion of a vital element of infrastructure: the construction of a 220-kilowatt double-circuit transmission line from Pul-e-Khumri to Kabul and a substation at Kabul, the reconstruction of roads and the Salma Dam power project, and the provision of aircraft.

• In the coming period, we expect to focus more on infrastructure projects, such as work on the Zaranj-Delaram road, the Salma Dam Project in the Province of Herat, and the construction of a new parliament building and of the double circuit transmission line from Put-e-Khumri to Kabul.

• UNMIS Radio, Miraya FM, will double its short-wave transmission and begin transmission via regional satellite later in 2009 to improve nationwide access in the light of operational restrictions in the north and the Three Areas.
  وستقوم إذاعة البعثة، مرايا إف إم، بمضاعفة بثها على الموجات القصيرة، والبدء في البث عبر ساتل إقليمي في وقت لاحق في عام 2009 من أجل تحسين إمكانية التقاط بثها في سائر أنحاء السودان، وذلك في ضوء القيود التشغيلية في الشمال والمناطق الثلاث.
