  « أو تكون لك جنة » بستان « من نخيل وعنب فتفجر الأنهار خلالها » وسطها « تفجيرا » .

• And recall that We said , “ Enter this town , and eat plentifully from it whatever you wish ; but enter the gate humbly , and say , ' Pardon . ' We will forgive your sins , and give increase to the virtuous . ”
  « وإذ قلنا » لهم بعد خروجهم من التيه « ادخلوا هذه القرية » بيت المقدس أو أريحا « فكلوا منها حيث شئتم رغدا » واسعا لاَ حَجْرَ فيه « وادخلوا الباب » أي بابها « سجداً » منحنين « وقولوا » مسألتنا « حطة » أي أن تحط عنا خطايانا « نغفر » وفي قراءة بالياء والتاء مبنياً للمفعول فيهما « لكم خطاياكم وسنزيد المحسنين » بالطاعة ثواباً .
• And, O my people, ask forgiveness of your Lord; thereafter repent to Him, (and) He will send the heaven showering plentifully upon you and He will increase in power to your power; and do not turn away as criminals."
  ويا قوم استغفروا ربكم ثم توبوا إليه يرسل السماء عليكم مدرارا ويزدكم قوة إلى قوتكم ولا تتولوا مجرمين
• And recall that We said , “ Enter this town , and eat plentifully from it whatever you wish ; but enter the gate humbly , and say , ' Pardon . ' We will forgive your sins , and give increase to the virtuous . ”
  واذكروا نعمتنا عليكم حين قلنا : ادخلوا مدينة " بيت المقدس " فكلوا من طيباتها في أي مكان منها أكلا هنيئًا ، وكونوا في دخولكم خاضعين لله ، ذليلين له ، وقولوا : ربَّنا ضَعْ عنَّا ذنوبنا ، نستجب لكم ونعف ونسترها عليكم ، وسنزيد المحسنين بأعمالهم خيرًا وثوابًا .
• And recall what time it was said unto them : dwell in yonder town and eat plentifully therefrom an ye list , and say : fergiveness , and enter the gate bowing ; and We will forgive you your trespasses : anon We will increase unto the well-doers .

• And recall when it was said to them : ' Dwell in this town and eat plentifully of whatever you please , and say : " Repentance " , and enter the gate prostrate . We shall forgive you your sins and shall bestow further favours on those who do good . '
