• His Government was pleased to learn that the Secretariat was currently redrafting the guidelines for the preparation of expanded core documents and exploring possibilities of better harmonizing the reporting guidelines, and looked forward to discussions on that subject in the individual treaty bodies, at the third inter-Committee meeting and at the sixteenth meeting of chairpersons of treaty bodies.

• The objective of the meeting is twofold. First, it intends to explore and document strategies and practices of transmitting local and indigenous knowledge systems in relation to biodiversity preservation and the sustainable use of natural resources.
