While we welcome the call on all States to accede as soon as possible to all international conventions regarding the fight against terrorism, we nevertheless wish to reiterate Egypt's call for an international conference to examine ways to combat terrorism through joint international efforts to coordinate and cooperate to drain the sources of terrorism and uproot its cells and networks.
وإذ نشيد بدعوة جميع الدول للانضمام المبكر إلى جميع الاتفاقيات الدولية ذات الصلة بالإرهاب، فإننا نكرر دعوة مصر لعقد مؤتمر دولي لبحث سبل مكافحة الإرهاب من خلال جهد عالمي مشترك يتسم بالتنسيق والتعاون في تجفيف منابع الإرهاب واجتثاث بؤره.

The dangers that terrorism poses to global peace and security highlight the need for a ruthless struggle against it, in particular through dismantling bases and networks, draining sources of financing, cooperating in exchanging information and providing proper equipment to countries that are victims of terrorism, and reviewing permissive national legislation regarding the right of asylum as well as the justification for murder or planning criminal activities to be committed in third countries.
إن خطر الإرهاب على السلم والأمن في العالم يفرض علينا مواجهة هذه الآفة دون هوادة من أجل تفكيك شبكات الإرهاب وقواعده الخلفية، وتجفيف مصادر تمويله، والتعاون في مجال تبادل المعلومات وتوفير وسائل المواجهة الملائمة لتستفيد منها الدول الضحية، ومراجعة القوانين الوطنية التي تغض الطرف عن حق اللجوء، أو التي تسكت على تبرير القتل أو تتغاضى عن التخطيط لنشاطات إجرامية تقترف في بلدان أخرى.
