It was reported that the University of Hanover, in cooperation with the University of Düsseldorf, both located in Germany, had developed a software system that could carry out the following functions: measurement of image coordinates as input for block adjustment, bundle block adjustment, measurement of a digital stereo pair, generation of DEM by automatic image matching, filtering of elements not belonging to a DEM, generation of orthophotos, mosaics of orthophotos and the processing of DEM.

Acknowledging the importance of raising awareness of the outcomes of the congresses as a means of enhancing knowledge about their role and function and generating ideas about thematic areas for consideration at subsequent congresses, the Meeting recommended that the outcomes be disseminated as broadly as possible to ensure that they filtered down to all elements of civil society and throughout local communities.
واعترف الاجتماع بأهمية إذكاء الوعي بنتائج المؤتمرات، كوسيلة لتحسين المعرفة بدورها ووظيفتها وتوليد أفكار بشأن مجالات مواضيعية يمكن النظر فيها في المؤتمرات اللاحقة، فأوصى بنشر هذه النتائج على أوسع نطاق ممكن لضمان وصولها إلى جميع عناصر المجتمع المدني وإلى المجتمعات المحلية بأسرها.
