Reconfirms that the new variety of Papaver somniferum (opium poppy) with a high thebaine content comes under the international control regime established by the Single Convention on Narcotic Drugs of 1961,1 and must be controlled in the same way as other varieties of Papaver somniferum containing other alkaloids;

"4- يطلب الى الهيئة الدولية لمراقبة المخدرات أن ترصد زراعة هذا الصنف الجديد من الخشخاش المنوم، وانتاج الثيبايين منه، ومن ثم التجارة الدولية في الثيبايين؛

Requests the International Narcotics Control Board to monitor the cultivation of this new variety of Papaver somniferum, the production of thebaine from it and the international trade in thebaine accordingly;
يطلب إلى الهيئة الدولية لمراقبة المخدرات أن ترصد زراعة هذا الصنف الجديد من الخشخاش المنوم، وإنتاج الثيبايين منه، ومن ثم التجارة الدولية في الثيبايين؛

(b) The Government of the country exporting poppy seeds should issue an appropriate certificate on the country of origin of the Papaver somniferum seeds as the basis for exportation to the importing country;
(ب) ينبغي أن تقوم حكومة البلد المصدِّر لبذور الخشخاش بإصدار شهادة مناسبة بشأن بلد المنشأ لبذور الخشخاش المنوِّم (Papaver somniferum) باعتبار تلك الشهادة أساس التصدير إلى البلد المستورد؛
