• This net increase resulted from over-expenditure in stationery and office supplies needed for: the increased production of documents for the Appeals Chamber and the prosecution and defence teams ($24,500); maintenance, repairs and spare parts for furniture and equipment, including photocopiers, security x-ray/scanning machines, machines used by Court Reporters and generators ($96,200); increased number of subscriptions to newspapers and magazines provided to Judges, Trial Chamber staff, the Legal Reference Library, Press and Public Affairs and detainees ($59,900); audio/visual supplies as a result of the large number of videotapes required for recording court sessions and reproducing exhibits ($68,500); security and safety supplies, including uniforms for new security officers and replacement uniforms for other security staff ($44,100); and miscellaneous supplies for the detention facility and three safe houses, including bedding, mosquito nets and utensils ($11,500).
