A review of the trends in the incidence rates of reported communicable diseases in the centre and south of Iraq from 1997 to 2001 reveals a downward trend for cholera, cutaneous leishmaniasis, diphtheria, German measles, malaria, measles, meningitis, mumps, neonatal tetanus, poliomyelitis, scabies, tetanus and tuberculosis.
ويبين استعراض الاتجاهات في معدلات الإصابة بالأمراض المعدية المبلغ عنها في وسط وجنوب العراق من 1997 إلى 2001 عن انخفاض منحى أمراض الكوليرا واللشمانيا والدفتريا والحصبة الألمانية والملاريا وأمراض الحصبة والتهاب السحايا والنكاف وداء الكزاز الولادي وشلل الأطفال، والجرب، وداء الكزاز والسل.
