Some of these discarded products and appliances may end up in municipal waste; Healthcare and laboratory waste from hospitals and clinics, medical and nursing facilities and offices, and laboratories; Construction and demolition waste from construction activities or renovation of buildings; and post-disaster wastes; Agricultural waste, crop residues, manure and chemical wastes such as pesticides, including persistent organic pollutants (POPs), polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), ozone-depleting substances; and Marine-related wastes, such as marine litter, products dumped at sea dumping, land-based wastes discarded in the marine environment, waste from dismantled ships and ship recycling.
