With a view to ensuring development of the agricultural sector, systematic and effective measures, such as expansion of arable land, provision of necessary know-how to increase per-acre yield and better quality seeds, construction of dams and river-water pumping stations for the year-round irrigation, and launching of projects for food security for future generations are being undertaken with momentum countrywide.
وبهدف العمل على تنمية القطاع الزراعي، يضطلع بتدابير منهجية وفعّالة، مثل التوسع في الأرض المزروعة، وتوفير الدراية الفنية الضرورية لزيادة الناتج للفدان الواحد والبذور ذات النوعية الجيدة، وإنشاء السدود ومحطات ضخ مياه الأنهار من أجل الري المستديم طوال السنة، ويجري الاضطلاع بمباشرة مشاريع من أجل الأمن الغذائي للأجيال المقبلة مع قوة دفع على نطاق البلد.
Food yields per acre (or hectare) are inadequate becauseimpoverished farm households lack some or all of the four inputsneeded for modern and productive agriculture: soil-nutrientreplenishment (through organic and chemical fertilizers),irrigation or other water-management techniques, improved seedvarieties, and sound agricultural advice.
كما تعتبر انتاجية الهكتار الزراعي من الإنتاج الغذائي غيركافية لافتقار المزارعين المعدمين إلى بعض، إن لم نقل كل الأساسياتالأربعة للزراعة الحديثة المنتجة والتي تتلخص في: المواد المغذيةللتربة ـ السماد العضوي أو الكيماوي- والري أو تقنيات إدارة المياهوالتشكيلة المحسنة من البذور والنصائح الزراعية السليمة.
