ويجب ألا يركب أي صمام حابس بين العنصر ووسائل تخفيف الضغط إلا عند التزويد بوسائل مزدوجة لأغراض الصيانة أو لأغراض أخرى، وأن تكون الصمامات الحابسة التي تخدم الوسائل بالفعل محكمة في وضع مفتوح، أو أن تكون الصمامات الحابسة متصلة بعضها مع بعض بحيث تكون وسيلة واحدة على الأقل من الوسائل المزدوجة في وضع التشغيل باستمرار، وقادرة على استيفاء المتطلبات الواردة في 6-7-5-5.
