If the question of East Timor could be so successfully resolved, why can the international community not be adroit enough to take similar action in other parts of the world where peoples continue to be denied their inalienable right to self-determination, in violation of universally acknowledged principles and the decisions of the Security Council?
وإذا كان بالإمكان حل مشكلة تيمور الشرقية بنجاح كبير، فلماذا لا يكون المجتمع الدولي بارعا بما فيه الكفاية للقيام بعمل مماثل في مناطق أخرى من العالم لا تزال فيها الشعوب تُحرم من حقها غير القابل للتصرف في تقرير المصير، في انتهاك للمبادئ المعترف بها دوليا وقرارات مجلس الأمن؟
