  الحق في الحياة والسلامة الجسدية : كفل قانون العقوبات رقم (16) لعام 1960 وتعديلاته حق الإنسان في الحياة وحقه في السلامة الجسدية، ويمتنع على الجميع من سلطات وأفراد إنهاء حياة أي شخص، ولا يجوز للشخص أن يتنازل عن حقه في الحياة ، ولا يجوز الإقدام على ذلك حتى لو كان في ذلك مصلحة للشخص، وفي هذا الإطار فقد جرم قانون العقوبات جرائم القتل المقصود وغير المقصود وجرائم الإجهاض وجرائم الإيذاء بمختلف صورها، ولا تتضمن القوانين أية عقوبات بدنية.
