And when they advanced to meet Jalut ( Goliath ) and his forces , they invoked : " Our Lord ! Pour forth on us patience and make us victorious over the disbelieving people . "
« ولما برزوا لجالوت وجنوده » أي ظهروا لقتالهم وتصافّوا « قالوا ربنا أفرغ » أصبب « علينا صبرا وثبت أقدامنا » بتقوية قلوبنا على الجهاد « وانصرنا على القوم الكافرين » .

ولما ظهروا لجالوت وجنوده ، ورأوا الخطر رأي العين ، فزعوا إلى الله بالدعاء والضراعة قائلين : ربنا أنزل على قلوبنا صبرًا عظيمًا ، وثبت أقدامنا ، واجعلها راسخة في قتال العدو ، لا تفر مِن هول الحرب ، وانصرنا بعونك وتأييدك على القوم الكافرين .

He it is Who has sent His Messenger ( Muhammad SAW ) with guidance and the religion of truth ( Islamic Monotheism ) to make it victorious over all ( other ) religions even though the Mushrikun ( polytheists , pagans , idolaters , and disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah and in His Messenger Muhammed SAW ) hate ( it ) .
« هو الذي أرسل رسوله بالهدى ودين الحق ليظهره » يعليه « على الدين كله » جميع الأديان المخالفة له « ولو كره المشركون » ذلك .
