Another program for the development of the capabilities and skills of rural women is being carried out all over Lebanon. Moreover, there is a project for integrated rural development and for alternatives to drug-producing crops in the Baalbek/al-Hermel region in collaboration with the Lebanese government and United Nations Organizations. The project aims in principle at achieving integrated rural development in the two aforementioned cazas. But this program is still facing hindrances as it did not concentrate in its strategy on agricultural development in this region. These obstacles result from the fact that many parties in the rich countries have not kept the numerous promises they made to the Lebanese administration to finance development in this region.
ويوجد مشروع آخر تحت وصاية وزارة الزراعة يموله ”إيفاد“ للري يشتمل على بنود إفادة المرأة الريفية ضمن مشروع متكامل لري المناطق كلها، بالإضافة إلى برنامج تنمية قدرات المرأة الريفية ومهاراتها الذي ينفذ في كل لبنان - ويوجد مشروع للتنمية الريفية المتكاملة واستبدال المخدرات في منطقة بعلبك/الهرمل بالتعاون بين الدولة اللبنانية وبين منظمات الأمم المتحدة - وتنص أهداف المشروع مبدئيا على تحقيق تنمية ريفية متكاملة في هذين القضائين المشار إليهما أعلاه - ولكن هذا البرنامج لا يزال يواجه تعثرات لأنه لم يركز في استراتيجيته على التنمية الزراعية في هذه المنطقة - ويعود التعثر إلى أن الوعود التي أغدقت على الإدارة اللبنانية لتمويل التنمية في هذه المنطقة لم تفِ بها أطراف عدة من الدول الغنية.
