• Within the framework of the European Year of People with Disabilities (2003), the Faculty of Social Work in Ljubljana organized a conference titled “So beautiful, and she is disabled!” - “Social work against discrimination of handicapped women”, whose purpose was to draw attention to the obstacles, prejudices and discrimination, faced by handicapped women in their everyday life.

• Pursuant to a recommendation of the Egyptian Parliament, efforts have been made to incorporate the provisions of the Convention on the Rights of the Child and other human rights instruments into the academic curricula at faculties of law, arts, social work, nursery school teaching and education in a manner that reflects the importance of disseminating information about these rights. This has been done at different levels, depending on the type of curriculum followed by the faculties concerned.
  وبنـاء على توصية من البرلمان المصري بإدخال اتفاقية حقوق الطفل وغيرها من الاتفاقيـات ذات الصلـة بحقـوق الإنسان في المناهج الدراسية لكليات الحقوق والآداب والخدمة الاجتماعية ورياض الأطفـال والتربية وذلك تقديرا لأهمية نشر المعلومات حول هذه الحقوق، فقد تم ذلك بدرجات متفاوتة وفق طبيعة المناهج الدراسية المقررة بهذه الكليات.
