  وما زالت بقايا الألغام البرية التي خلفتها الحروب الماضية تشكل خطرا على السكان المحليين يهدد حياتهم بين الحين والآخر(127). وتقل أعمار 50 في المائة من هؤلاء الضحايا عن 17 سنة(128). وتشكل الألغام البرية خطرا من المخاطر التي تهدد حياة السكان في 19 منطقة زراعية ومرعى في الجولان المحتل(129). وبينما كانت إزالة الألغام تشكل أولوية منذ عامين، فقد برزت مشاغل أمنية أخرى مطيلة أمد الخطر الذي يهدد حياة السكان السوريين في الجولان(130).
