Supply reduction: elimination of illicit crops and suppression of illicit drug trafficking: $387,300: advisory services: missions, at the request of Governments, to provide assistance on upgrading essential drug-related legislation, as well as evaluating and drafting legislation and providing advice and advocacy support throughout the national legislative process; training regulators, prosecutors, judges and others who apply the new laws on the system of justice; solving problems related to specific cases so as to improve international cooperation in extradition and mutual legal assistance and to break down specific recognized obstacles; providing direct on-site operational support to national prosecution and judicial services in ongoing prosecution and asset forfeiture casework; and further developing and maintaining the Programme's wide range of leading-edge legal assistance working tools enabling the transfer of maximum application know-how to the assisted States, including comprehensive model legislation and justice system casework best-practices guidelines.
