In 2007 the Government undertook to implement Order No. 2006/001 of 28 September 2006 modifying the tax on certain basic necessities, identify ways of preventing interruptions in the supply chain and to lay the groundwork for a campaign to boost sales of basic commodities, including kitchen salt, rice, frozen fish, beef, pork, palm oil, poultry and sugar.
