• UNEP will continue its efforts to help countries prevent the negative health impacts of air pollution by: Supporting the development of regional or subregional agreements to reduce transboundary air pollution; Encouraging emissions reduction technology development, use, and transfer; Supporting the development of policy guidelines and management tools for pollution prevention; Working with other United Nations bodies and partners to promote improvements in urban air quality, including through efforts to introduce and promote the widespread use of cleaner fuels, as well as improved transportation systems.
