In a press release on 2 May 2006, the Special Rapporteur expressed grave concern over the detention of opposition leaders Aleksandr Milinkevich, Vintsuk Vyachorka, Aleksandr Buchvostau, and Sergei Kalyakin, who were arrested in Minsk on 27 April and sentenced to 15 days of imprisonment on charges of organizing and participating in an unauthorized protest rally, following their participation in a march to protest the Government's management of the Chernobyl nuclear accident of 1986.
وأعرب المقرر الخاص، في بيان صحفي مؤرخ 2 أيار/مايو 2006، عن قلقه الشديد إزاء اعتقال زعماء المعارضة إسكندر ميلينكفيتش، وفينتسوك فياشوركا، وإسكندر بوخفستاو، وسرغي كالياكين، الذين أُلقي القبض عليهم في مينسك في 27 نيسان/أبريل، وحكم عليهم بالسجن لمدة 15 يوماً بتهمة تنظيم مظاهرة غير مرخصة والمشاركة فيها، وذلك عقب مشاركتهم في مسيرة للاحتجاج على كيفية تعامل الحكومة مع حادثة المحطة النووية في تشيرنوبيل في عام 1986.
