• 8.18 The expected accomplishments would include: (a) greater availability to policy makers, the media and activists of readily digested analytical information on complex issues, such as the region's economic and socio-political situation and the international and African efforts required for the continent's development within the framework of the New Partnership; and (b) awareness by target readers of key thematic issues covered by the information materials produced by the programme, both in print and on the web site.
