We note with concern that civilians are not only victims of violence, flight and displacement, but are also victims of the latest technologies of death, including cluster bombs and phosphorus bombs, which has shocked the international community. This is particularly true in Gaza, where children, the elderly and women, and even fruit trees, are victims of death and destruction.
ولا بد من الإشارة بانزعاج بالغ إلى أن المدنيين أضحوا ليسوا عرضة فقط لخطر العنف والتشريد والنزوح، بل عرضة مؤخرا لآخر ما توصلت إليه تقنيات آلة الموت، بما في ذلك الأسلحة العنقودية والقنابل الفسفورية على النحو الذي صدم الأسرة الدولية وروعها، ولا يزال في غزة، وما يتعرض له أطفال غزة وشيوخها ونساؤها وممتلكاتها، وحتى أشجارها المثمرة، من دمار وخراب.
