• Another indicator, namely Housing Affordability Index (HAI), has been decreasing in the last couple of decades, from 70 in 1982 to 46 in 1997.23 This shows that the increase in housing prices was not followed by a corresponding increase in annual income, resulting in a continuous reduction in housing affordability (see annex, table 40, Compilation of Malta's Housing Affordability Index (HAI)).
  وهناك مؤشر آخر، هو دليل تيسر السكن، انخفض بصورة متواصلة طيلة العقدين الأخيرين، من 70 في عام 1982 إلى 46 في عام 1997(23). وهذا يبيّن أن الزيادة في أسعار المساكن لم يواكبها زيادة في الدخل السنوي، وأن النتيجة هي ضعف مقدرة الناس على شراء السكن (انظر المرفق، الجدول 40، تصنيف دليل تيسر السكن في مالطة).
