  بدأت حكومة العراق إنتاجها المحلي لمادة الحديد المغذية (كبريتات الحديدوز 200 ملي غرام) وأقراص حمض الفوليك (1 ملي غرام)، والتي توافرت في مواقع المستخدمين النهائيين منذ تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر 2002.
• The law stipulates that all pregnant women visiting the health services must receive multivitamins, ferrous sulphate and folic acid free of charge during pregnancy and, ideally, during the post-partum period, subject to the availability of supplies.
